The BEST Homemade Salsa

Tonight we decided to make enchiladas for dinner. We love making our own salsa to use for enchilada sauce. (And of course you can't make salsa without enjoying some with tortilla chips!) It is SO much better than the store-bought stuff. Today we just used what we already had in our fridge to throw something together and the result was AMAZING! Here is the recipe! -5 tomatillos husked and washed -3 jalapenos with tops removed* -1 14.5 oz can of tomatoes with green chilies** -1 tsp chives (fresh or dried) -1 1/2 tsp salt -1/2 cup cilantro -2 cloves of garlic -juice from 1 lime First boil the jalapenos and tomatillos in a medium-sized saucepan until softened (about 15 minutes). Drain the water. Put jalapenos, tomatillos, and all other ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. *This salsa is SPICY.
